On January 19, 2023, with the arrival of the Year of the Rabbit, the first shipment of iron concentrate powder of the New Tonkolili Iron ore Project of Leone Rock Metals Group was successfully delivered, marking a new development stage of the project. The new Tankerili Iron Mine project has always attracted the attention of the Serra government, all sectors of society and peers. The project was independently designed, financed and constructed by Leone Rock Metal Group. After six months of efficient construction, the project was completed and put into operation in October 2022.

On November 10, 2022, the first special train full of high-grade iron powder from Tonkolili arrived at the port smoothly. New products, new stages and new journeys will enrich our product line in the New Year to meet more diversified market demands, laying a solid foundation for Leone Rock Metals Group to build itself into the first mining brand in West Africa and even the world.

According to the company's five-year development plan, the construction of Phase 2 of the new Tonkolili Iron Ore Project, with an investment of nearly US $200 million and an annual production of 12 million tons, will begin in the first quarter of 2023 and is scheduled to be completed and put into production in early 2024. This means that the company will continue to invest and build in Sierra Leone.
